Day 1

Arrival in Dar es Salaam

On arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be met by a Sassabi Expeditions representative and transferred to your accommodation in Dar es Salaam. Settle in and relax after your journey, with the remainder of the day at leisure as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to Stone Town, where you can settle into your accommodation and begin discovering the atmosphere of this historic island capital.

Stone Town and Zanzibar

Spend two days experiencing Zanzibar’s culture, history and beautiful coastline. Explore the winding streets, colourful markets and historic architecture of Stone Town, with time available for selected island excursions, beach activities or relaxation.

After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to Ruaha National Park. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by your lodge guide and transferred to your accommodation. Enjoy your first game-viewing experience as you travel through Ruaha’s remarkable wilderness.

Full Day in Ruaha National Park
